SUMMARY:Annual Conference at Interchange
DESCRIPTION:The ITS UK Conference focuses on how transport technology can lead to a greener\, safer\, more efficient and better integrated transport network\, bringing together leading technologists\, government officials\, policy makers and industry leaders.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe ITS UK Annual Conference is our major national\, strategic event\, bringing together the transport technology industry to discuss key issues of the day. The Conference is part of Interchange\, the national infrastructure event focused on achieving a seamless and sustainable transport system that works for people\, the economy and the environment. \nAlongside the ITS UK Annual Conference\, Interchange incorporates and co-locates with TIP (Transforming Infrastructure Performance) Live and the STB Conference; bringing together major public and private transport infrastructure clients\, national and local transport authorities and with their upstream supply chains and the energy\, property and tech sectors. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Conference\nThe ITS UK Annual Conference will explore how technology is reshaping mobility. The Conference will explore the four key topics of connectivity and autonomy\, integration\, sustainability and society and industry growth\, with speakers from government at all levels and companies of all sizes. \nConnectivity and Autonomy\nTechnology is increasingly enabling greater connectivity between infrastructure\, vehicles and the wider network. With the UK leading the way in autonomous vehicle technology\, we’ll explore how the industry is delivering connected and automated mobility\, and the greater use of data and AI to achieve it. \nIntegration\nThrough smart ticketing\, mobility as a service and new forms of shared mobility\, the UK has the opportunity to develop a more joined-up and seamless experience for transport users. We’ll explore what building blocks need to be in place to create a fully integrated network. We’ll look at the current state of play for new micromobility services\, and the benefits they can provide. \nSustainability and Society\nAs one of the largest emitters of CO2 and air pollution\, it is more urgent than ever that the transport industry ramps up its decarbonisation efforts. We’ll explore technologies role in achieving net zero across the transport network. We’ll also explore how we ensure we deliver greater safety\, in the road to Zero Harm. \nIndustry Growth\nThe global ITS sector is expected to grow by 7.7% up to 2030. How can the UK best take advantage of this growth and best utilise the many businesses and globally-regarded expertise we have on our shores? We’ll explore the value of transport as a key strategic growth sector\, one which the UK can develop a competitive advantage in\, from which to export and grow abroad. And we’ll consider how we ensure we are supporting a new generation of intelligent transport professionals to enter the industry and who reflect the diversity of the public they serve. \nRegister here\nPlease use code ITS24 in the relevant box \n\nThe Agenda\n08:00 | Registration\, networking\, exhibition\, plenaries and keynote on the Main Stage\, followed by a coffee break \n11.30 | Welcome to the ITS UK Annual Conference \nStuart Scott\, Chair\, ITS UK & Max Sugarman\, Chief Executive\, ITS UK \n11.35 | Welcome Message from Transport Innovation Minister Anthony Browne MP \n11.40 | The Road to 2027: An Introduction to the ITS World Congress 2027 in Birmingham \nJohn Paddington\, Senior Manager\, ERTICO \nMark Collins\, Head of Future Transport\, Transport for West Midlands \nDarren Capes\, Head of ITS Policy\, Department for Transport \nChair: Stuart Scott\, Chair\, ITS UK \nTheme One: Connectivity & Autonomy \nChair: Ryan Hood\, Digital Highways Leader\, Arup \n12.00 | Keynote: Delivering the CAV Vision \nDominik Leeson\, Centre for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles – Department for Transport \n12.20 | Panel: How can transport best utilise the power of data and AI? \nSam Li\, Senior Innovation Officer\, Transport for Greater Manchester \nAnna Jordan\, Co-Founder & CEO\, Alchera Technologies & BridgeAI Transport Advisory Board Chair \nPhil Clifton\, Managing Director\, Balfour Beatty \nAlex Mindell\, Head of AI & Autonomy\, Department for Transport \nRichard Barrington\, Director\, Smart Cities & Land Mobility\, Angoka \nOlga Gonzalez\, Marketing Director\, Valerann \n13:00 | Lunch & Networking \nTheme Two: Integration \n13:45 | Fireside Chat: Achieving the vision of a truly integrated transport network \nJohn Chapman\, Regional Transport Lead\,  Amazon Web Services \nMark Collins\, Head of Future Transport\, Transport for the West Midlands \nChair: Max Sugarman\, Chief Executive\, ITS UK \n14:05 | Panel: Delivering greater integration through Mobility as a Service (MaaS) \nAlastair McInroy\, CEO\, MaaS Scotland \nSteven Longman\, MaaS Programme Lead\, Solent Transport \nMartin Howell\, Director\, Transport Markets\, UK & Ireland\, Worldline \nDallas Delaney\, Marketing Manager\, Snapper Services \nTim Casswell\, City Development Lead\, TIER Mobility \nChair: Mark Collins\, Head of Future Transport\, Transport for the West Midlands \nTheme Three: Sustainability and Society \nChair: Catherine Whitfield\, Associate Director – ITS\, WSP & Vice Chair\, ITS UK \n14:45 | Keynote: ITS in delivering a sustainable transport future \nVivi Michalaki\, Head of Intelligent Transport Systems\, National Highways \n15:15 | Tea\, networking\, exhibition\, keynote stage address \n15:30 | Panel: Safety critical – how can technology support a safer transport system? \nJames Riley\, Managing Director\, Neology UK \nMargaret Winchcomb\, Deputy Executive Director\, PACTS \nDavid Denner\, Highways Technology Manager\, Welsh Government \nJames Heslop\, Head of Strategy\, Network Rail R&D Portfolio \nFlora McFarlane\, Head of Growth and Partnerships\, VivaCity \nSiobhan Campbell\, Technical Director\, WSP \nTheme Four: Industry Growth \nChair: Caroline Hildreth\, Principal\, Netcompany \n16:10 | Keynote: Delivering a step change in traffic signals innovation \nDarren Capes\, Head of ITS Policy\, Department for Transport \n16:30 | Panel: Talent\, the industry and delivering on diversity \nLouise Cheeseman\, Founder and Chair\, Women in Bus and Coach \nSteve Spender\, Chief Executive\, Institute of Highway Engineers \nScott Heath\, Innovation Lead\, Thales \nJames Hornsby\, Early Careers Lead\, ITS UK \nGemma Tredwell\, Chair\, Women in ITS \nJoanna Hill\, Women in Transport North West Lead \n17:10 | Concluding remarks \nMax Sugarman\, Chief Executive\, ITS UK \n17:15 | End \nFrom 17:15 | Networking Drinks Reception\,  including a keynote by Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham. \n\nSee the Speakers
