DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Road User Charging Forum meeting discussing some of the key challenges and opportunities around road user charging\, both here in the UK and overseas. \nTaking place on 9 October at 12pm\, the Road User Charging Forum will look at the topic of ‘Road Pricing: At Home\, Abroad and in the Future’\, discussing some of the key opportunities and challenges around implementing schemes\, both here in the UK and overseas.   \nWe will hear from New Zealand Transport Minister Hon Chris Bishop\, who will give a keynote exploring the steps New Zealand is taking to replace petrol taxes with electronic road user charges. His speech will be followed by presentations covering current innovations in the UK and abroad\, including London’s ULEZ\, M6 Toll\, in Holland\, Norway and elsewhere. \nIn this session we will be hearing the latest from across the UK industry on these schemes as well as some key updates from overseas.  We will then look ahead to what the future could have in store for road pricing\, too\, demonstrating a new tool being developed by ITS UK and Kainos. \nMeeting at the Arup offices in London\, on 9th October from 12 noon to 4pm this will no doubt be a very topical session. \nRegister here\nKeynote\nHon Chris Bishop\, Minister of Transport\, New Zealand Government \nHon Chris Bishop is the Minister of Housing\, Minister for Infrastructure\, Minister Responsible for RMA Reform\, Minister of Transport\, Associate Minister for Sport and Recreation\, Associate Minister of Finance\, Leader of the House and he is the MP for Hutt South. \nChris was born and raised in Lower Hutt\, Wellington where he lives with his wife and two children.
