SUMMARY:DfT Digital Twin Industry Day - Liverpool
DESCRIPTION:The Government is seeking to accelerate the adoption of digital twin technologies across the transport sector\, with a particular focus on integrated digital twins\, crisis response and network management. \nThis ambition is reflected in the TRIB Digital Twin Vision and Roadmap to 2035\, the Transport Data Action Plan\, innovation funding provided through Transport Research and Innovation Grants (TRIG)\, the Better Connected: A Strategy for Integrated Transport commitment to invest £30 million in Integrated Digital Twins for local authorities\, and the commitment to a long term programme for network management\, crisis response and resilience planning at the Transport Climate Adaptation Strategy.  \nITS UK is supporting the Department for Transport in raising awareness and understanding of digital twin technologies among local\, combined\, and transport authorities through a series of national Digital Twin Industry Days. \nThe Days will aim to: \n\nIncrease awareness and understanding among local\, combined\, and transport authorities of the potential value of digital twins\, including practical use cases\, lessons from existing deployments\, and examples of best practice.\nProvide a platform for industry engagement\, enabling suppliers to showcase existing digital twin products\, services\, and capabilities\, while facilitating dialogue between the public sector and the supply chain.\n\nThe first session will take place in Liverpool on 14 July\, the day before ITS UK’s Digital Transport Forum.
