SUMMARY:EV Infrastructure Roundtable
DESCRIPTION:As the UK shifts rapidly towards zero-emission vehicles\, the availability of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure is becoming ever more critical. Without a comprehensive network of chargers (both on-site at depots and accessible to the public)\, the UK’s ambitions for net zero transport will not be possible. \nAs part of ITS UK’s partnership with the Crown Commercial Service\, this roundtable will explore how public sector and corporate organisations are procuring EV charging infrastructure and preparing their fleets for net zero. The roundtable will bring together those looking to electrify their fleets with Government\, ITS UK members and the wider sector to explore how the industry can drive forward decarbonisation. \nThe roundtable will take place at the Workspace Offices in Fleet Street from 10am to 12.30pm. The address is 154-160 Fleet Street\, London EC4A 2DQ \nRegister here\nPlaces will be provided on a first come\, first served basis\, with an option for in-person or online attendance. \nIn partnership with:\n \nAgenda\n9.30am | Registration and Networking \n10am | Welcome and Introductions\nMax Sugarman\, Chief Executive\, ITS UK\nSteve Sopp\, Senior Category Lead\, Crown Commercial Service \n10.10am | Background\, case studies and best practice in EVCI\nAaron Berry\, Deputy Head\, Office of Zero Emission Vehicles\nMartin Edgecox\, National Fleet Manager\, National Highways \n10.45am | Sector Review: Intiatives and collaboration opportunities\nMax Sugarman\, Chief Executive\, ITS UK \n11.15am | Coffee and Tea Break \n11.30am | SWOT / Challenges and Opportunities Workshop \n12.10am | Sector Priorities\nSteve Sopp\, Senior Category Lead\, Crown Commercial Service\nSagar Mody\, Head of Commercial\, Local EV Infrastructure\, Department for Transport \n12.50am | Q&A\, next steps and close\nMax Sugarman\, Chief Executive\, ITS UK \n

SUMMARY:Workshops on the NAO study on innovation in transport
DESCRIPTION:The National Audit Office (NAO)\, the UK’s independent public spending watchdog\, has launched a value for money audit into innovation support for the transport sector. \nWith the Department for Transport (DfT) increasing its spending on research and development over the coming years\, having spent around £250 million in 2024-25\, the NAO will be exploring whether DfT’s approach to innovation in transport is delivering value for money. The study will include its main arm’s-length bodies\, who also manage innovation funds\, as well as the full range of levers to support innovation\, including grant-giving\, but also policy\, regulation\, and facilitating collaboration. \nYou can find out more about the study here. \nWorkshops\nITS UK members from the private sector are invited to a workshop to feed in your views on how the DfT can better support innovation in transport. \nTaking place on 13 January 2026\, from 1 to 3pm\, at the NAO’s Offices in London\, this event offers the opportunity to share your experience of DfT-funded innovation grants\, on DfT’s innovation policy and how the Government can work to support greater innovation in the sector. \nDuring the event we will run two workshops – one for micro and small business members and one for medium to corporate members. Members will be split by their membership type. You can join the event in-person or online. \nThe full list of questions for the sessions and an agenda will be shared ahead of the workshops. \nRegister here
