SUMMARY:The Road to D-TRO Conference
DESCRIPTION:The Digitalisation of Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) offers a generational opportunity to change the way we manage the roadside. Whilst many TROs are published as paper documents by traffic authorities\, the signing of the Automated Vehicles Act 2024 into law means that all authorities will soon need to have their TROs in digital formats\, with a single data standard that can be shared with the Department for Transport. \nThis provides an major opportunity to change the way our roadside works. It will mean easier consultations for the public\, quicker processes for approvals and a more flexible system that can meet the changing policy needs of local authorities. \nThe Road to D-TRO Conference\, sponsored by Causeway Technologies\, will explore the current state of play\, provide examples of those local authorities who have already made the move across to digital\, and ask ‘what next?’ for D-TROs and the management of the road. \nWe’ll hear from Government\, local authorities\, suppliers and key decision makers to get their perspective on how we can best utilise D-TROs to support a greener\, safer and more efficient road network. \nThis event is open to all and free to attend – simply register via the link below. By registering\, you consent to have your details shared with Causeway Technologies. \nWhat to expect at this event?\n\nLearn from your peers and hear from key industry voices\, including the DfT.\nGain expert insights into the D-TRO requirements.\nParticipate in workshops designed to help you unlock the full potential of digital traffic orders for your community.\n\nRegister to Attend\nWith thanks to Sponsors: \n \nWhere do you currently stand on D-TROs?\nAs part of the event\, Causeway Technologies are gathering views on current levels of awareness from Local Authorities regarding D-TROs. SUMMARY:Smart Data Roundtable
DESCRIPTION:ITS UK and the Open Data Institute (ODI)\, one of the country’s leading data organisations\, are organising a roundtable on smart transport data\, taking place on 3 October from 12pm – 3pm. \nEarlier this year\, the then-Government set out the Smart Data Roadmap\, listing a number of key sectors where it believed smart data could have a significant benefit. Transport was listed as one of the industries where a new approach to smart data could lead to better information and greater access to the transport network. Following the Roadmap’s publication\, the new Government published a Digital Information and Smart Data Bill to enable new innovative uses of data to improve people’s lives. \nAt this Roundtable\, ITS UK and ODI will be looking to explore the role of smart data in a transport context. We will share learnings from other industries where smart data has progressed and discuss what a smart data approach could mean for transport providers and suppliers\, the Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) sector and the wider transport network. The roundtable will gather key industry leaders from transport and data\, in what will be a fantastic opportunity to exchange ideas and shape a united vision for the transport technology industry. \nThis event is for Executive Members only – to secure a registration link\, please email contact@its-uk.org.
