SUMMARY:Smart Data Roundtable
DESCRIPTION:ITS UK and the Open Data Institute (ODI)\, one of the country’s leading data organisations\, are organising a roundtable on smart transport data\, taking place on 3 October from 12pm – 3pm. \nEarlier this year\, the then-Government set out the Smart Data Roadmap\, listing a number of key sectors where it believed smart data could have a significant benefit. Transport was listed as one of the industries where a new approach to smart data could lead to better information and greater access to the transport network. Following the Roadmap’s publication\, the new Government published a Digital Information and Smart Data Bill to enable new innovative uses of data to improve people’s lives. \nAt this Roundtable\, ITS UK and ODI will be looking to explore the role of smart data in a transport context. We will share learnings from other industries where smart data has progressed and discuss what a smart data approach could mean for transport providers and suppliers\, the Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) sector and the wider transport network. The roundtable will gather key industry leaders from transport and data\, in what will be a fantastic opportunity to exchange ideas and shape a united vision for the transport technology industry. \nThis event is for Executive Members only – to secure a registration link\, please email contact@its-uk.org.

SUMMARY:Inclusive Mobility Forum
DESCRIPTION:Disruption is a challenge that the transport network will continue to encounter across nearly all modes of travel. How we react during these periods\, and what we do to minimise the impact on those travelling\, is critical. Yet\, for those with disabilities and special access needs\, disruption can be even more intense and frustrating. \nThe Inclusive Mobility Forum will hold a webinar\, on the 22 October\, where we will explore the specific issues disabled travellers face during disruption and discuss how a more strategic adoption of ITS can help overcome these challenges\, ensuring a more efficient and reliable service for everyone. \nWe’ll hear from experts from across different modes and ask how transport technology can support those with accessibility needs when their journey doesn’t go as planned. \nWe encourage you to register via the button below. \nREGISTER NOW\n  \nAgenda\n2.00pm| Introductions\, Welcome & Scene Setting\nKris Beuret and Anthony Duckenfield\, Inclusive Mobility Forum Officers \n2.10pm | Communicating change to customers\nClaire Walters\, Chief Executive\, Bus Users UK \n2.25pm | Looking after customers with special needs during rail disruption\nElizabeth Gilliard\, Consultant\, First Rail Consulting Services \n2.40pm | Highlighting disruption in the National Accessibility Strategy\nHelen Dolphin\, Accessibility and Inclusion\, Great British Railways Transition Team \n2.55pm | Q&A & Panel Session focusing on the solutions to disruption \n– Dan Taylor\, Accessibility Lead\, Transport Focus\n– Tony Duckenfield\, Managing Director\, Beyond Logic\n– Stephen Howes\, Transit Partnerships Lead\, UK and Ireland\, Uber\n– Ann Frye\, Director\, Ann Frye Ltd. \nKey questions that will be considered during the panel: \n1.
