DESCRIPTION:The ITS UK President’s Dinner returns for 2024 on 7 November and is one of the main industry events of the year.  Featuring the ITS UK Awards\, the Dinner showcases the very best of the intelligent transport sector\, including the innovation\, expertise and dynamism of organisations and individuals across the industry. \nThe Dinner is a celebration of all the organisations\, individuals and projects that have delivered for the UK and is attended by key clients and decision makers from a variety of organisations. DESCRIPTION:Each year\, ITS UK organises four dinners\, exclusively for our Executive Members\, providing them with the opportunity to meet with key decision-makers in the transport sector and to discuss key issues of the day in an intimate setting. \n  \nSince March 2016 Hugh Gillies has been part of Transport Scotland’s senior management team with day to day responsibility for the operation and maintenance of Scotland’s trunk road network (TRN) and in delivering the Scottish Government’s road policy objectives. At the dinner\, he will discuss his priorities for Scotland’s road network\, including the importance of technology in supporting decarbonisation\, safety and a more efficient network. \n  \nThis event is kindly sponsored by Arup\, AtkinsRealis and Egis. \n \n  \n\nAbout Hugh Gillies \n \nHugh has over 30 years’ experience in roads and transportation.
