Delegation to Latvia, Estonia and Finland

ITS UK Members are invited to join a UK Delegation to Latvia, Estonia and Finland from 10 to 13 November.

Following a successful visit by a Finnish and Estonian delegation to the UK in March 2025, ITS UK will be taking a UK delegation over three days to Latvia, Estonia and Finland from 10 to 13 November. The delegation will provide delegates with the opportunity to meet government bodies, transport authorities and suppliers from across the three nations, through meetings, site visits, networking opportunities and informal events.

Running from 10 to 13 November 2025, the delegation will visit Riga, Tallinn and Helsinki to meet with key transport authorities across the three nations.

The visit itself will involve a mixture of site visits,  networking events and briefings in all three countries, concluding with ITS UK taking part in ITS Finland’s National Conference, with speaking opportunities available for the delegation at the event.

Delegates attending will be provided with a unique opportunity to:

• Explore the ITS market in this part of the world.
• High-level networking opportunities with industry leaders and policymakers in the region.
• Site visits to key companies and innovation hubs.
• A platform to discuss collaboration, form new business relationships and investment opportunities.

Sunday 9 November

• Flight to Riga (recommended)
• Evening Welcome Dinner (to be confirmed)

Monday 10 November

• Meeting at Riga City Council
• Introduction from ITS Latvia, Latvian Government & representatives from Riga City Council
• Lunch in Old Town  & walking tour from Old Town to the Ministry of Transport
• Meeting with the Ministry of Transport, Ministry for Regional Development and Smart Governance & ATD (the regional Public Transport Authority)
• Presentation from Rail Baltica and site tour of Riga Central Station
• Travel to Tallin
• Dinner with Estonian partners

Tuesday 11 November

• e-Estonia Briefing Centre visit and presentations
• Government Briefings with Ministry of Climate; Transport Administration; Tallinn Transport Department; Ministry of Regional Affairs (public transport)
• Port of Tallinn & City Innovation Option 1: Passenger mobility presentation or Option 2: City of Tallinn’s Innovation Pilot related to real time mobility in port area
• Ferry to Helsinki – group activity and early dinner on ferry
• Arrival in Helsinki

Wednesday 12 November

• Site visit: Kempower Manufacturing Facilities
• Tour of Kempower & LUT University Electric Mobility Research Center
• Lunch
• Site visit: Vuosaari Harbour
• Introduction to Harbour logistics and Vuosaari road tunnel repair project
• Dinner at Vuosaari Harbour facilities

Thursday 13 November

• Site Visit: Private tram tour with HSL (Helsinki PTA) & combined sight seeing
• Lunch and networking
• ITS Finland Autumn Seminar
• Reception
• Flight back
