Torquay Group Acquires P&D Specialist Services to Strengthen UK Safety and Infrastructure Offering

P&D Specialist Ltd

Torquay Group has today confirmed the acquisition of P&D Specialist Services, one of the UK’s leading providers of CCTV and specialist electrical solutions for the highways and infrastructure sectors.

The move marks a significant step in the Group’s strategy to bring together best-in-class businesses that share a commitment to innovation, safety, and sustainability. By welcoming P&D into the family, Torquay Group strengthens its capability to deliver fully integrated solutions across traffic management, infrastructure projects, and public safety.

Founded over 20 years ago and based in Derbyshire, P&D has built a strong reputation for reliability and technical excellence. The company is widely recognised as the UK’s largest supplier of fixed temporary CCTV systems, supporting projects with thousands of camera installations nationwide. From initial site surveys and design through to installation, monitoring, and 24/7 maintenance, P&D has become a trusted partner to contractors, local authorities, and national highways schemes. Its portfolio extends beyond highways into permanent safety camera systems, EV charging infrastructure, festive lighting, and specialist heat detection technology.

For Torquay Group, which includes MVIS and Solar Gates in the UK and Bartco in Australia the acquisition represents both scale and synergy. More importantly, the company’s focus on innovation and sustainability mirrors the values that underpin every business within the Group.

Speaking about the acquisition, Scott Paton, Chief Executive Officer, Torquay Group says “The addition of P&D Specialist Services is a major milestone for us. Their reputation in the industry is second to none, and their expertise strengthens our ability to provide the complete package to our clients. We are building a group of businesses that set the standard in their fields, and P&D fits that vision perfectly.”

Paul Wilson, Managing Director, P&D Specialist Services added “Becoming part of the Torquay Group gives us an exciting platform for growth. Our clients will continue to receive the same trusted service, but with the added resources, support, and reach of a wider group behind us. We’re looking forward to the next chapter.”

The acquisition underscores Torquay Group’s ambition to deliver safer, smarter, and more sustainable solutions across the highways, infrastructure, and construction sectors — both in the UK and internationally.
