Join us for the inaugural SafetyTech Forum, a one day event exploring the future of technology that supports safer travel for all.

The Forum is a one-day Conference exploring the latest innovations and technology supporting safety on all modes of transport.

Bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, researchers, operators, and technology innovators, the Forum will include keynote presentations, expert panels and interactive discussions, setting out the latest in the safety tech space.

The event will take place from 10am to 5pm at the Leonardo Royal Hotel, Birmingham on 28 May 2026. We’ll be holding a site visit the day before, on Wednesday 27 May 2026, to National Highways Development Centre.

Pre-Forum Site Visit to National Highways Development Centre
27 May 2026 | 11am to 4pm

The day before the SafetyTech Forum, we will be hosting a site visit to National Highways’ Development Centre on Moreton on Marsh.

The Centre is a realistic on-road, roadside and training environment. It is a test facility is designed to reduce development risks and support design, prototyping, testing, development, validation, certification and training. The sites focus is to advance research and innovations though Technology Readiness Levels to derisk introduction onto the strategic and major road network.

The Centre includes a four lane carriageway, designed for conducting road trials with 400m of marked lane length, allowing vehicle speeds up to 70 mph.

The site visit will include a tour of the site, highlighting some of the key technological developments there and plans for its future use as a hub for industry innovation.
