The Intelligent Transport Playbook brings together the key insights, priorities and challenges identified by the transport technology sector at the 2026 ITS UK Annual Conference.

Developed from a series of discussions designed to enable open, honest conversation, this report captures the collective thinking of industry. The result is a snapshot of the sector today: where progress is being made, where barriers remain, and where there is opportunity to go further.

The Playbook highlights key cross-cutting themes that emerged from all of the discussions, as well as dedicated compilations of insights from each of the four sessions of the ITS UK Annual Conference.

As such, this document is not just a reflection, but a practical resource. It is intended to support ITS UK and the wider industry to understand shared priorities, identify opportunities for collaboration, and inform future activity.
