Citisense announce new 5-year Partnership with Birmingham City Council
Citisense are proud to announce a new 5-year partnership with Birmingham City Council for the supply, installation, and maintenance of 24 CitiSensors integrated with our Smart Lenz data analytics platform. This marks a key milestone in their mission to deliver efficient, data-led insights that enable smarter, safer, and more sustainable urban mobility.

Covering key locations across the city, this project will provide Birmingham with continuous, high-accuracy data on road user behaviour, supporting the evaluation of transport policies and development of related schemes.
CitiSensors will capture multimodal data including vehicle counts, pedestrian activity, road-user classifications, and speeds. All data will feed into Smart Lenz, an intuitive dashboard, giving council officers access to both real-time and historic analytics for informed, evidence-based planning.
Citisense will provide full support throughout the setup, testing, calibration, and ongoing training & maintenance.
“We look forward to delivering this impactful project and supporting Birmingham City Council in shaping a smarter, more connected future.” said Daniel Hanshaw, Commercial Director at Citisense.
