DfT Digital Twin Industry Roundtable – Nottingham

The Government is seeking to accelerate the adoption of digital twin technologies across the transport sector, with a particular focus on integrated digital twins, crisis response and network management.
This ambition is reflected in the TRIB Digital Twin Vision and Roadmap to 2035, the Transport Data Action Plan, innovation funding provided through Transport Research and Innovation Grants (TRIG), the Better Connected: A Strategy for Integrated Transport commitment to invest £30 million in Integrated Digital Twins for local authorities, and the commitment to a long term programme for network management, crisis response and resilience planning at the Transport Climate Adaptation Strategy.
ITS UK is supporting the Department for Transport in raising awareness and understanding of digital twin technologies among local, combined, and transport authorities through a series of national Digital Twin Industry Days.
The Days will aim to:
- Increase awareness and understanding among local, combined, and transport authorities of the potential value of digital twins, including practical use cases, lessons from existing deployments, and examples of best practice.
- Provide a platform for industry engagement, enabling suppliers to showcase existing digital twin products, services, and capabilities, while facilitating dialogue between the public sector and the supply chain.
