Transport 2030 Webinar Series – Changing Global Market

On the 25 September, we will be holding a webinar exploring the future of the global ITS market, with speakers from Cubic Transportation Systems, Yunex Traffic and Ertico.

With so much change across the globe, the transport sector is facing new challenges – and opportunities – in almost all overseas markets. With such rapid technological change, the need to reduce carbon emissions and an ever moving policy landscape, ITS companies will need to be more flexible, dynamic and responsive than ever. This webinar will explore the changes in the global ITS market taking place up to 2030 – and ask how can ITS companies ensure we can continue to roll out transport technology across the globe.

The webinar is the third in our Transport2030 series, examining the upcoming trends facing the ITS sector over the coming decade. The Webinars are held in partnership with the Transport Technology Forum.

The webinar will take place at 2pm on the 25 September and will look at the changing global markets, with our expert speakers unpacking some international perspectives and future innovations.

About the Speakers

Joost Vantomme, CEO of ERTICO

Joost is a Belgian national with 30 years of experience in legal and regulatory policy affairs combined with a strong track in strategy and project management. He served as legal and regulatory affairs director with incumbent operators in the telecommunications, postal, eCommerce/logistics and automotive sectors. He had leading policy-making roles in European associations such as PostEurop, FEDMA, and ACEA as well as at the United Nations level (UPU). Joost has also been a member of the cabinet of the Belgian Minister of Economy and director at Hill+Knowlton Strategies, an EU consultancy firm.

Before joining ERTICO in January 2022 as Chief Executive Officer, he was the Smart Mobility Director of ACEA for over five years. Joost held positions as chair of the Strategy Committee of ERTICO-ITS Europe as well as a member of its Supervisory Board. He serves also as a member of the Board and Vice President of the Mobility as a Service (MaaS) Alliance.

As a frequent speaker at conferences and author of papers, he engages with stakeholders on European and international policy issues and research and innovation project management issues in mobility and digital agenda context.

Fluent in Dutch, French, English and German, Joost holds a Master’s Degree in Economic Business Law, a Master’s Degree in law and a Diploma in Teaching Law (Universities of Leuven, Poitiers and Louvain-la-Neuve). He gained additional education in the economic, business and management areas.

Niosha Kayhani, Cubic and ITS UK International Director

Niosha is the ITS UK International Director and leads on building the reputation and profile of ITS UK internationally to build networks, influence policy, support international cooperation on ITS and to create opportunities for the association.

He has helped to facilitate and host multiple international delegations, sign memorandums of understanding with global institutions and helped achieve year on year growth of the institute inside and outside of the UK.

Tim Wray, Head of Systems, YUNEX

Tim has been driving new business development for over 18 years within the Transportation, Road User Charging & ITS markets. His key clients include all major Rail / Bus companies, Transport for London, Transport for the North, Highways England, Transport Scotland & Network Rail.
