Connected Mobility Scale
The Connected Mobility Scale sets out a measure for the level of connectivity for transport in the UK. Developed by ITS UK’s former CAV Forum Chair Andy Graham, the Scale was originally published in 2019 following a project for National Highways undertaken by Atkins and Jacobs.
The Scale aims to be complementary to the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) scale of autonomy, helping to identify the levels of connectivity in mobility and provide a common terminology for measuring increasing levels.
The Scale has been updated with support from Ian Pengelly, Chair, and Manish Kumar, Vice Chair, of ITS UK’s CAM Forum.
