ITS UK launches market support for members

  • Following an SME & Start-Up Conference organised by the industry body last year, ITS UK has launched a new package of support to help businesses navigate the intelligent transport market.
  • ITS UK members will now exclusively be able to access a tender and competitions monitoring service, highlighting the latest opportunities in the sector, as well as attend monthly ‘Bid Support Tuesdays’ sessions.
  • During the Bid Support Tuesdays, members will be able to meet and quiz bidding experts Pippa Birch and Phil Seymour on how to make their bids as effective as possible.

16 February 2024: Today, Intelligent Transport Systems UK (ITS UK), the national association for transport technology, has launched new services for members to help them navigate and succeed in the intelligent transport market.

Members will now be able to benefit from a tender and competitions monitoring service, listing upcoming market opportunities, both in the UK and overseas, and will be able to join exclusive sessions with two bidding experts.

The advice sessions, held online on the third Tuesday of every month, will see experts Pippa Birch of Pipster Solutions and Phil Seymour of Seymour Chartered Surveyors provide their thoughts and guidance to members on how to make their bids as effective as possible. Known as ‘Bid Support Tuesdays’, these online drop-in sessions will aim to give members the support they need to grow and thrive in the sector.

The new support is one of the key outputs from ITS UK’s SME & Start-Up Conference, held on 5 December 2023, where members discussed how government and industry could help small businesses in the sector to grow.

Max Sugarman, Chief Executive of Intelligent Transport Systems UK (ITS UK), said: “At our SME and Start-Up Conference in December, members highlighted that visibility and support with tenders and bids was a key priority for them, and ultimately, was vital for their success in the sector.

“So, we’re today delighted to announce our members will get exclusive support and help through a new Tender and Competitions Monitoring Service, available on our Members Area, and through the advice of Pippa Birch and Phil Seymour, who’ll be offering their expertise and guidance once a month to members during Bid Support Tuesdays drop-in sessions. Pippa and Phil bring a huge amount of experience, knowhow and expertise – so it’s fantastic to have them onboard.

“We look forward to working with members to help them grow and thrive in 2024 and beyond!”
